These terms govern use of the Kirana Notes website and all services provided by Kirana Notes. Please read them before submitting an enquiry or engaging a service. Questions may be directed to [email protected].

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or engage our services.

Our services are intended for persons aged 18 years and over. By engaging a service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

For the Public Sector Communications Redesign, an authorised representative of the engaging organisation must accept these terms on the organisation's behalf.

3. Service Description and Scope

Kirana Notes provides general education and information organisation services in relation to retirement records and pension documentation. Our services consist of:

Scope limitation: Our services address the organisation, structure and administrative literacy of retirement documentation only. We do not provide regulated financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or any opinion on the meaning, value or implications of retirement documents. Matters requiring regulated professional input are redirected to the appropriate category of qualified practitioner.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using our website or services, you agree to:

5. Intellectual Property

All Content produced by Kirana Notes — including workbooks, glossaries, session guides, filing plan templates, cabinet maps, evaluation reports, and website copy — remains the intellectual property of Kirana Notes unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

Materials delivered to you as part of a service are licensed for your personal or organisational use only. You may not reproduce, adapt, sell, or publicly distribute them without prior written consent.

For the Public Sector Communications Redesign, the agency retains ownership of the rewritten documents. Kirana Notes retains ownership of the methodology, evaluation framework and style guide template, which we may reuse in a generalised form.

6. Payment Terms

All prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Published prices are inclusive of all standard materials as described on our Solutions page. Current prices are:

Payment terms, accepted methods and invoicing arrangements are confirmed in writing at the time of booking. We reserve the right to adjust prices for future engagements; pricing for confirmed bookings will not be changed after written confirmation.

Cancellation: For the Filing Structure Consultation, cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be rescheduled once without charge. For the Literacy Programme, cancellations before the first session will receive a full refund; partial refunds for withdrawal after commencement are assessed on a pro-rata basis. For Public Sector engagements, cancellation terms are set out in the written engagement agreement.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Filing Structure Consultation

The session covers structure, indexing and storage. No copies of personal documents are made or retained. All original documents are returned to you at the close of the session. The filing plan and referral sheet produced during the session are yours to keep.

Bilingual Retirement Literacy Programme

Enrolment is per cohort. Sessions run on the dates confirmed at booking. Missed sessions cannot be individually refunded but may be made up in a subsequent cohort at a reduced rate, subject to availability. No certificate of completion is issued; the programme is a general educational offering, not a qualification.

Public Sector Communications Redesign

The scope of each engagement is agreed in writing before work commences. Any material addition to scope is subject to a written variation agreed by both parties before the additional work proceeds. The substantive content of rewritten documents remains the agency's responsibility; Kirana Notes is responsible for clarity, structure and accessibility of expression only.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided in good faith based on the information available to us. We do not make any representation or offer any undertaking that:

Nothing on our website or in our services constitutes personalised financial, legal or tax advice. All matters requiring regulated professional input should be referred to an appropriately qualified practitioner. We name appropriate specialist categories in our referral sheets but do not recommend or endorse specific individuals or firms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Kirana Notes shall not be liable for:

Our total liability in connection with any service engagement shall not exceed the amount paid for that engagement. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Kirana Notes against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of our Content, or any misrepresentation you make in connection with our services.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by written notice. For the Filing Structure Consultation, termination before the session results in a refund less any materials already prepared. For the Literacy Programme, the provisions in Section 6 (Payment Terms / Cancellation) apply. For Public Sector engagements, termination provisions are set out in the written engagement agreement.

Kirana Notes may decline to continue with an engagement if a participant or client repeatedly seeks to obtain regulated advice in place of the services described, or if conduct in sessions is disruptive to other participants.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be referred to informal resolution by written notice to [email protected]. We will respond within 14 days with a proposed resolution.

If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of Malaysia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.

13. General Provisions

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be notified by a notice on our homepage for 30 days. Continued use of our website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Changes do not affect the terms applicable to an engagement already confirmed in writing.
